Jessy Woodburn Terms and Conditions of Trading

By accepting my booking, you are accepting my terms and conditions of trading, set out below:

Anchor 1

Your obligation

  • You agree to ensure that the information you supply for your booking is complete, accurate and up to date. If you discover any inaccuracies, you will notify me immediately.

  • Bookings are taken on the understanding that an adult will be present at the appointed time. If I am unable to obtain access to the premises, this will be considered a cancellation (see the cancellation section below).

Liability

  • Any advice and information given as part of the chimney sweeping service is given in good faith. However, I only carry out a brief visual inspection and will not have investigated any inaccessible and/or concealed areas and the information must not be relied upon in any way.

  • The sweeping certificates I provide are not a guarantee or warranty that any fireplace, heating appliance, boiler, flue or chimney stack is safe. Without specific instruction for investigation, I cannot warrant that there are no potential defects to the chimney or flue arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party. 

  • I cannot warrant the failure to use an appliance as recommended by the manufacture. Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instruction, or any alterations or repairs carried out by you, or any third party, are not covered by me.

Pricing and payment​

  • The prices I charge for chimney sweeping are given on my website. Any further repairs or parts required will incur and additional charge. 

  • Chimney sweeping services must be paid on completion, unless otherwise agreed. Where an invoice is issued, it must be paid within the timeframe given. 

  • I accept the following methods of payment: credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, cash and cheques.

  • If I do not receive payment from you on any orders, I reserve the right to cancel and/or reposes. All parts remain my property until payment is made in full.

  • I do not send booking confirmations or payment receipts by post. Payment confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide.

Cancellations

​

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, you agree to give as much notice as is reasonably practicable.

  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, I reserve the right to charge 50% of the full amount.

  • If less than 12 hours’ notice is given, I reserve the right to charge the full amount.​

Complaints​

  • Any complaints regarding service or goods must be made within 10 days of the service or goods being delivered.

  • Any complaint must first be made to me. If no satisfactory result is made within a reasonable time, you should contact my trade association – The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps – to take your complaint further.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

When you book with me, you understand that I will keep your name, house and contact details on file, and you give me permission to contact you when your chimney is due for a sweep. My full Privacy Policy is available on my website.

Errors and omissions expected​

 

Every effort has been made to ensure the terms and conditions are as up to date as possible, but I do accept any errors and omissions are expected.

Amendments

​

I reserve the right to add to and/or amend these terms and conditions without giving prior notice.
